Terms of Service

The agreement between you and DAPDOL: what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.

Last updated 20 September 2026

These terms are between you and DAPDOL Global Network (RC 9590713), Nigeria. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, please do not use DAPDOL.

Early access

DAPDOL is in early access. Features are still being completed, and some are switched off while we finish them — payments in particular are in final testing. We may change, add or remove functionality during this period. Where a change affects money you have already committed, we will honour the terms that applied when you committed it.

Who can use DAPDOL

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. One account per person; a business account must be operated by someone authorised to act for that business. You are responsible for everything done under your account.

Your account and security

Keep your password and transaction PIN to yourself. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access. We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is compromised.

Because your messages are end-to-end encrypted, resetting a forgotten password permanently destroys your ability to read your earlier message history. We cannot recover it for you — that is the cost of encryption we cannot break either.

Verification and badges

Badges record what has been checked. A White badge means an identity was verified. A Blue badge additionally means a DAPDOL skill assessment was passed. Business badges record a verified company registration.

A badge is evidence, not a guarantee. It does not mean we endorse a member, vouch for their work, or accept responsibility for what they do. Certifications displayed on a profile are self-reported and labelled as unverified until we verify them.

You must verify your identity before you can sell services or withdraw money. You do not need to verify to buy. Giving false verification information is grounds for closing your account.

Buying and selling

A contract on DAPDOL is between the buyer and the seller. We provide the platform, hold the money in escrow and supply the tools — we are not a party to your contract and do not perform the work.

The buyer funds the agreed amount into escrow before work starts. When the seller delivers, the buyer may approve it, request a revision within the agreed revision limit, or open a dispute. If the buyer does nothing, escrow releases automatically after the review window shown on the contract — 48 hours for standard work, 120 hours for complex work.

Sellers pay a commission on release, shown before you accept a contract. Cancellation rules and the resulting refund depend on the reason and the stage, and are shown in the Contract Room at the time.

Disputes

Either party may open a dispute from the Contract Room, which freezes the escrow immediately. Either party may ask DAPDOL AI to propose a settlement; the proposal only takes effect if both parties accept it. Parties may also propose their own settlement.

To resolve a dispute we read the contract, the deliveries and the Contract Room chat. We do not read your direct messages — we cannot. Where a dispute cannot be settled between the parties, our decision on releasing the escrow is final as between us and you, without affecting any legal right you have against the other party.

Money, withdrawals and Coins

Your wallet balance is money held for you, not a deposit with a bank, and it does not earn interest. Withdrawals go to a bank account in your own name, and require identity verification. Fees and minimums are shown before you confirm.

Coins are a platform credit used for things like boosting a post or submitting a proposal. Coins never expire, cannot be transferred in bulk, and cannot be converted back into money. Coin purchases are final except where we have made an error.

What you post

Your content stays yours. By posting it you give us the licence we need to store and display it on DAPDOL and to show it where you have asked it to appear. That licence ends when you remove the content, except for copies we must keep for moderation or legal records.

Only post what you have the right to post. Do not upload work, logos or images belonging to someone else and present them as yours.

What you must not do

  • Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your identity, skills or business
  • Take payment off-platform to avoid fees, or ask another member to
  • Post scams, phishing, malware, or anything unlawful
  • Harass, threaten or abuse another member
  • Manipulate ratings, reviews, badges or the feed, including through fake accounts
  • Scrape the platform, or attempt to break its security or access controls

Moderation

We may remove content or restrict an account that breaks these terms. When we do, we record a reason and tell the member what it was — we do not remove things silently. If you believe a decision was wrong, reply to the notice and a person will look again.

Jobs and hiring

Employers using DAPDOL agree to our No Ghosting policy: when a role is filled, every applicant is told, and a candidate who has been interviewed is given a decision. We measure responsiveness and show it on employer profiles.

Our responsibility, and its limits

We provide DAPDOL with reasonable care, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor do we guarantee the quality, honesty or legality of what members post or deliver.

We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of opportunity or indirect loss. Where we are liable, our total liability to you is limited to the fees we earned from your transactions in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud.

Ending your account

You may close your account at any time by emailing admin@dapdol.com. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to. Closing an account does not cancel contracts already under way or money already owed in either direction.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you before it takes effect. Continuing to use DAPDOL after that means you accept the updated terms.
